Born 93 Hijri he is one of the four Mujtahid Imams. As well as leaving a vast legacy in jurisprudence (Fiqh), he also produced one of the most highly regarding works of Hadith (al-Muatta).
Imam Malik bin Anas is from the Salaf, belonging to the third generation. He passed away 179 Hijri, after having taught so many great scholars including Imam al-Shafi.
