Imam Ali bin Muhammad al-Qari was a prolific writer. He wrote authoritative works in many sciences. Amongst them were Aqeedah, Hadith, Shamail and Hanafi Fiqh.
He was a relatively late scholar (died 1014 Hijri). Yet he enjoys widespread acceptance in the Hanafi Madhab. He seems to have had a particular interest in works related to the virtues of our beloved Prophet ﷺ. He wrote commentaries on Shamail Tirmidhi and the Shifa of Qadi Iyad. As well as lengthy Hadith commentaries.
