Yes, increasing worship during first ten days of Dhul Hijjah is recommended.

Ibn Abbas  narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Good deeds done on (other) days are not superior to those done on these days (first ten days of Dhul Hijjah).’ (Sahih al-Bukhari, 969)

It is clear based on this (other Hadith narrations) that the days intended in this Hadith are the ten days of Dhil Hijjah. (Imam al-Ayni, Umdatu al-Qari).

Many scholars have said that these days are even better than the last ten of Ramadan, due to the wording of the Hadith.

This (the Hadith) necessitates that the ten days are better than all other than it, from the days of the year. (Imam Zakariya al-Ansaari, Tuhfatu al-Bari).

And Allah (Most High) Knows best.
