The Hadith about harming a dead person is Sahih according to Imam Ibn Hajr al-Asqalani, Imam Ibn Daqeeq al-Eid and others.

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: كَسْرُ عَظْمِ الْمَيِّتِ كَكَسْرِهِ حَيًّا

(Sayidah) Aishah (May Allah Most High be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘Breaking the bone of a deceased person, is like breaking it whilst he is alive.’ (Abu Dawood, 3207).

This Hadith is also found in Ibn Maja (1616), Ahmad (24686, 24739, 25356, 25645), Ibn Hibban (3167) and others. The narration in Abi Dawood is Sahih according to Imam Ibn Hajr al-Asqalani and others.

576 – وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا; أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم – قَالَ: «كَسْرُ عَظْمِ الْمَيِّتِ كَكَسْرِهِ حَيًّا» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ بِإِسْنَادٍ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ. (بلوغ المرام من أدلة الأحكام)

(Sayidah) Aishah (May Allah Most High be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘Breaking the bone of a deceased person, is like breaking it whilst he is alive.’ It was narrated by Abu Dawood with a chain that is authentic according to the standard of (Imam) Muslim. (Imam Ibn Hajr al-Asqalani, Buloogh al-Maraam).

802 – حَدِيث: كَسْرُ عَظْمِ الْمَيِّتِ كَكَسْرِ عَظْمِ الْحَيِّ، أحمد وأبو داود وابن ماجه والبيهقي من حديث عائشة به مرفوعا. وحسنه ابن القطان، وقال ابن دقيق العيد: إنه على شرط مسلم. (المقاصد الحسنة في بيان كثير من الأحاديث المشتهرة على الألسنة)

The Hadith, ‘Breaking the bone of a deceased person, is like breaking the bone of the living person.’ (It was narrated by) Ahmad, Abu Dawood, Ibn Maja and al-Bayhaqi, from (Sayidah) Aishah (May Allah Most High be pleased with her) elevating it (to the Prophet ﷺ). (Imam) al-Qataan considered it to be Hasan. (Imam) Ibn Daqeeq al-Eid said, it is (authentic) according to the standard of (Imam) Muslim. (Imam Shams al-Deen al-Sakhaawi, al-Maqaasid al-Hasanah).
